Amarnath Yatra reaches one lakh mark

SRINAGAR: As the rush of Amarnath yatris continue to soar with each passing day, the number of pilgrims paying obeisance at the holy cave shrine since the yatra commenced on June 30 has reached one lakh mark.
An official spokesperson said 99,151 yatries so far had darshan of natural Shiv Lingam at Holy Amarnath Ji Cave.
According to official sources, out of total Yatries, 53297 yatries have darshan of Shiv Lingam via Pahalgam route while 45854 yatries got blessings of the Lord Shiva at Holy Amarnath Ji Cave using Baltal route.
8703 Yatries today left from Nunwan-Pahalgam and Baltal Base Camps to Holy Amarnath Ji Cave for darshan of the Shiv Lingam.
Out of 8703 Yatries, 4857 yatries comprising 3770 male, 870 female, 132 Children and 85 Sadhus left from Pahalgam base camp and 3846 comprising 2890 male, 780 female, 165 children and 11 Sadhus left from Baltal base camp to Holy Amarnath Ji Cave for have darshan of Shiv Lingam.
