Agriculture technocrats appeal for regularization
7/10/2010 10:03:55 PM
early times report
Kathua, July 10: Rehabar-e-Ziraat employees working as JAA's in the Agriculture Production Department since April 1, 2007 continue to be misguided and befooled by the government despite promises and commitment to regularize them as agriculture technocrats.
They had been recruited as JAAs under the Rehabar-e-Ziraat scheme framed earlier by Farooq Abdullah government and implemented by Ghulam Nabi Azad government. The present government led by Omar Abdullah continued the scheme.
This was stated by district Kathua president of the Agriculture Technocrats Association Sanjeev Verma while addressing a meeting of the technocrats here. He said the present government was not responsive to the interests of their group. He said the young chief minister had given many assurances to agriculture technocrats of both Kashmir and Jammu province but these remained unfulfilled. He urged the CM for his personal intervention to regularize 3000 technocrats who are on the rolls.
