| 24 Arunachalis to perform Amarnath yatra for first time | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July10: A group of people comprising 20 female and 4 male members arrived at Jammu today to perform the holy pilgrimage of Amarnath.
It is for the first time that a group from Arunachal Pradesh is visiting cave shrine of Amarnath to have darshans of Shivlingam.
President of AVP Taday Hunganing said that group of yatris from Arunachal belong to the different areas of the state.
The yatra is organised by Sanskrit Bharti of Itanagar. We are very happy to visit Jammu and Kashmir, we observe a very good management, Security arrangements and all other facilites provided by State government and the NGO's.
People outside J&K feel that there is massive terrorism in J&K and no body can move without the help of the security forces but we have found that everything is going normal and all people are very supportive even the setup made by the State government is really an example.
Taday informed that there is Parshu Ram Kund in Lohit district of Arunchal Pradesh where every year a Mela start from Makar Sankranti for one month in which thousands of people across the world took part and a famous 25 feet natural Shivlingam at Lour Subarsani district where people can visit any time.
We appeal the people of Jammu and Kashmir to visit Arunachal Pradesh so that exchanges of civilization may take place and it will also strengthen the bonds of national integration.
