EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 11: Making a fervent appeal, Kashmira Vahini (KV) has asked the Kashmiri Pandit community to fight the machinations of state government, which has put the honour and life of Kashmiri Pandit women in grave danger by posting them in valley.
Speaking on the occasion, Sunita Santoshi General Secretary KV exhorted the community to defeat such designs
She expressed serious concern over the security scenario of Kashmir Valley. The situation in the valley has reached to such a point of deterioration that the paramilitary forces have been replaced by the army. The main stream politicians in the valley admit that they stand marginalized at this stage in valley, where only writ of separatist and Islamic jehadis run the roost.
Sudesha Koul Chief Area Coordinator KV said that in the prevailing situations the assurances of a Minister of safe guarding life and honor of Kashmiri Pandit women is farce. The statements of some self styled leaders of the community indicating that present turmoil in valley is of temporary nature is far from the truth as per the fact admitted by state as well as central governments.
In an appeal to be submitted to the President of India who herself happens to be a women can sympathetically appreciate anxiety and worry of Kashmiri women folk. Kashmira Vaahini urges President of India Pratibha Patil to impress upon state government to ensure posting of newly appointed candidates as migrant employees in various migrant institutions and migrant cells in Jammu.
Dr Khema Kaul while addressing the gathering exhorted the community to imbibe the quality of protest for their genuine political rights. Panun Kashmir convener Dr Agnishekhar endorsed the viewpoint of Kashmira Vahini with regard to posting of newly employed youth. He assured that Panun Kashmir has already launched a signature campaign around the globe. An appeal signed by 10,000 KP men and women will be submitted to Prime Minister of India. The appeal urged the Prime Minister to direct the State government not to use employment package as an instrument of exploitation and blackmail against young girls and boys. PK appeals to Prime Minister to ensure that Kashmiri Pandit boys and girls should be posted in different migrant cells in Jammu till the situation normalize to the satisfaction of Kashmiri Pandit community.
Dr Agnishekhar alleged that state government is biased towards KP community as on one hand state Government is implementing new rules and facilities for surrendered militants and stone pelters and on the other pushing KP youth to second genocide.
Panun Kashmir in its appeal has urged the Prime Minister to grant Geo-Political dispensation i.e. separate Homeland with Union Territory status in valley for 7 lakh Kashmiri Pandits. Dr Agnishekhar said union government has in principle accepted that Kashmir problem needs a resolution, so the return of Kashmiri pundits to valley is linked to final resolution of Kashmir problem.
