KSHITIJ foundation demands early appointment of CIC for J&K

Jammu, July 11: The Kshitij foundation a non governmental organization have demanded early appointment of chief right to information (RTI) act for the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing the media persons here today the state convener of the organization , Narotam Sharma said that the government has passed an act for common people to fight corruption, but it is sorry to say that the RTI act cannot take place as act for common people for fight to corruption. He said government has passed this act on paper but at ground lever this act is totally failed, and blamed the government of Jammu and Kashmir for taking no action to make aware the people of state about this act.
He also blamed that the state government of J&K has not been appointed the chief information commissioner till date.
Sharma also demanded to reduce the prescribe fees for RTI Rs.50 to Rs.10 as equivalent to all part of the country.
He also demanded to ware the general public regarding RTI act as every citizen of the state can properly get the uses of this act.
The state government led by chief Minister, Omar Abdullah is not serious for the appointment of the chief information he said and added.
it means that the state government is not providing the corruption free government and the encouragement of "BRASTACHAR" in the state which is very dangerous for the state as well as common masses. He also demanded to launch a website of RTI in the state which is very important for the working of information and easily collecting the collection common people Narotam Sharma has said that the object of Kshitij foundation is to aware the people about the RTI in the state and to help the people of the state to use this act for their common right. Dr. Permendra Singh, Member of central core working group, Avinash K. Singh, State Convener of Uttar Pradesh cum media Prabhari and Upinder Sharma was also present in the conference.
