Rajan Sushani appointed state BJP incharge | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 11: National leadership of Bhartaya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed Member of Parliament (MP) from Kangra Rajan Sushani to look after the situation in the state and take up the issues of the people of region in the Parliament. Addressing a press conference, Sushani said that as part of giving voice to the people were the BJP does not have MP, national leadership has initiated the step across the country. "We do not have MP from the state and many of the issues facing the people here don't reach the Parliament. I have come here to look what basic issues are which the people face", said Sushani. MP from Kangra said that in Jammu and Kashmir the issue of delimitation, Panchayati Raj institutions and Unemployment is major challenge and he will raise the issue in the monsoon session of the Parliament. "J&K is an important state as far as party and nation is considered people here face many different problems and our intention is to give voice to the population and region which are facing discrimination", he said. Speaking on the occasion, BJP state president Shamsher Singh Manhas said that party delegation will take part in the all parties meeting convened by the Chief Minister on Monday. "Our one point agenda is to give more powers to security forces to deal with the secessionist and anti-national elements. We are not against people of Kashmir but firm steps should be taken against those who are engaged in anti-national activities", Manhas said. Taking serious view over the deteriorating law and order situation in most parts of the Kashmir, Manhas said that it appears that a conspiracy has been hatched across the border to bring valley issue on focus by disturbing normal life in valley and also the ongoing Holy Amarnath Yatra. "The organizations like Hurriyat Conference and PDP are virtually acting as frontline actors to execute this process with a view to create a situation whereby they hold the masses at ransom and force Govt. of India to accept their separatist agenda", Manhas alleged.
