| ETT girl student crushed to death, two hurt | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 12: An Elementary Teachers Training (ETT) girl student has been crushed to death by a speedy vehicle here in Raiya Morh under the jurisdiction of the Vijaypur Police Station today. In the incident, two others ETT students were also injured.
The incident occurred when three Punjab-based ETT girl students were having a breakfast in a dhaba in Raiya Morh along National Highway. While the girls were having breakfast, a speedy vehicle ( Ford Fista car) driven by Akhlesh Kumar rammed into the dhaba, resulting into on spot death of an ETT student Geetanjali, wife of Satish Sharma, a resident of Gurdaspur and injuries to two other girl students Ruchika and Rajinder Kour. The injured were rushed to GMC hospital where their treatment is in progress while the body of the deceased was put into autopsy room for postmortem.
When contacted SHO Vijaypur Jatinder Singh Sambyal informed that girls were coming from Punjab in a private taxi to enroll themselves in the exams and had stopped for having a breakfast en route in a dhaba when the accident occurred. He said the driver of the vehicle had been arrested and a case under section 304A,279 and 337 is registered against him. Driver's negligence is stated to be the reason behind the incident. The parents of the deceased and injured have been informed about the incident through Gangotri ETT college, Chatha authority.
