SASB sanctions ex-gratia relief for next of kin ofseasonal worker

SRINAGAR, July 12: Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) has sanctioned Rs one lakh ex gratia relief in favour of next of kin of a seasonal worker, who was killed in a road accident recently.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the SASB here this afternoon said ex gratia relief was sanctioned to the next of kin of Rayees Ahmad Koka, resident of Seer Hamdan, Anantnag, who died in a road accident few days ago.
Koka was working as a seasonal worker for the past few years with the board, he said adding keeping in view his devoted services to the board, the relief was sanctioned to help his family.
Meanwhile, Niaz Mehmood, General Manager (Operations) of the Shrine Board, visited the Seer Hamdan residence of Koka and conveyed the Governor's sympathy to the bereaved family.
Almost all registered labourers, 'pony walas and 'Dhandi wallas' besides pilgrims are already covered under Rs one lakh insurance cover.
