BSNL fails to provide sufficient service to customer
7/12/2010 10:46:19 PM

EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 12: There seems a nexus between the higher officials of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and the Private Operators of mobile service in Jammu and Kashmir.
This was alleged by BJP State General Secretary Sat Sharma while expressing his grave concern over the poor services provided by the BSNL to its customers in the state. Sat Sharma said that there have been repeated complaints against the working of the BSNL in state as the customers are facing problems due to poor connectivity of the mobiles with BSNL connections.
He said it takes too long to contact a BSNL official for registering any complaint. Many a times, the mobile users have to hear that "dialed number does not exist", despite the fact that the same number was working few minutes ago and it works later on too.
Smelling some monetary nexus between the higher officials of BSNL in Jammu and Kashmir and those of the private operators, Sat Sharma said that a thorough inquiry by CBI needs to be conducted to see if the BSNL officials are intentionally doing all this to force the customers to abandon their BSNL connections and switch over to the mobile services of private operators. He said how unfortunate it is that the BSNL displays its efficiency in matters related to the depositing of mobile bills. It immediately snaps services if there is little delay in depositing bill due to some unavoidable circumstances but has totally failed to provide satisfactorily services to its customers. Without naming any private operator, Sat Sharma said that the BSNL has more man power, resources and infrastructure, but still it is far behind private operators as far as quality service is concerned.
BJP leader said as the matter is serious and directly linked with thousands off the customers across the state, the party has decided to write to the Union Minister for Telecommunications reque-sting him to order an inquiry by CBI so that the faith of the customers is restored and the BSNL authorities are checked from indulging in such malpractices which are in no way good for the department as well as the customers. He declared that failure on part of the Union Minister to order an inquiry and set the things in order will force the party activists to come on roads and organize protests against BSNL.
