Bathuni residents were denied water for not voting Congress: BJP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT RAJOURI, July 13: Taking strong note of the Bathuni people's protest against non availability of water, Bharatiya Janta Party has cornered government over silence on taking action against one of the ministers for allegations leveled by the residents. Addressing media persons here today, BJP State Secretary Vibodh Gupta said "Water has flown up above the head and there is cry against minister of state on every corner but state government is mute on the issue and they are not in mood to take action against the minister". Giving ultimatum of series of protests in Rajouri if government will not take action against the minister, Vibodh Gupta said that the minister has hijacked the entire administration and officers and non-congress voters are being harassed at every village. Giving examples, Vibodh Gupta said that Congress minister has stopped PHE department to provide drinking water to the Bathuni residents only because they voted against him. He said that though there were three hand pumps in the area inhabited by congress workers, remaining area has been ignored. "We will not remain any more silent and will launch joint protest of all opposition parties in near future", Vibodh Gupta said adding that Bathuni residents are striving hard for water but they have been denied the same only on the direction of minister. He also fired salvo on minister in Manjakote Saria episode in which an RDD truck was seized after it was being unloaded on a private shop. "The official involved in black marketing of Saria is close relative of minister and police was hushing up the case but when we pressurized, they lodged FIR", he said demanding probe in the incident.
