| NC observes Martyrs' Day | | |
EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, July 13: District unit of National Conference today observed Martyrs' Day under the presidentship of former MLA Dhian Chand. Speaking on the occasion, the Dhian Chand said that under the leadership of Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, a movement for setting up new democratic political system was initiated and who fought for the said cause were martyred on July 13, 1931. They are being remembered today for their sacrifice. On the occasion, activists of NC paid floral tributes to the martyrs and pledged to follow the path of these martyrs.
In the programme, the district president NC Ex MLA Dhian Chand, Vice President HS Wazir, district general secretary KK Bakshi, Youth Leader Harprit Singh Sethi and Shakil Ahmad Tony were also present.
