DDC takes stock of dev works in Jai Valley | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT DODA, July 13: To assess the pace of various developmental works and other related activities being carried out by the Bhaderwah Development Authority, District Development Commissioner, Doda, Farooq Ahmed Khan visited Jai Valley, about 25 km from Bhaderwah town, here today. Officers of Bhaderwah Development Authority, Forest department and district administration accompanied the DDC. Mr Khan stressed for sanitation and cleanliness of the area and directed the concerned authorities to take strict measures for keeping the spots pollution free and green. He also directed the concerned to ensure that ban on use of polythene is strictly enforced so that the ecological balance of the area is not disturbed. In a joint meeting with the officers of the Forest department and Bhaderwah Development Authority, threadbare discussions were held to make the spots more attractive and tourist friendly . The DDC asked the officers of Bhaderwah Development Authority and forest department to work in synergic manner for the management and development of this spot so that the vast tourist potential of the area is tapped which would not only give a boost to the socio-economic development of the area but also provide employment opportunities to the unemployed youth of the district. Various issues related to development of Jai valley were also discussed which include relocation of Gujjar Kothas and separate parking place for vehicles. However, locals of the area put forth various demands and grievances to which the Deputy Commissioner assured that there would be looked into on priority.
