| Tributes paid to Dhanwantari | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 13: J&K Freedom Fighters Association organizsd a function at Ved Mandir to pay floral tributes to Comd. Dhanwantri on his death anniversary here today. On the occasion, Regional Transport Officer (RTO) J.S Manhas was the chief guest whereas ARTO, Kewal Krishen was the guest of honour.
Paying floral tributes to Dhanwantri, Manhas said that he had played a great role during the freedom struggle. In this connection, British rulers imprisoned him at Andaman and Nicobar island jail for several years. Besides, Dhanwantri has also fought for bringing in land reforms, stated Manhas. Kewal Krishen and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Tarun after paying tributes urged upon the people to inculcate spirit of patriotism .
President FFA, Ved Gandotra after paying tributes urged upon the people of state to remain united during the present prevailing turmoil to foil the evil designs of vested elements. General Secratary M.R Bangotra suggested that equal opportunities for development could only lead to dream come true of Dhanwantri. Paras Ram Poonchi, Ajit Singh Adil, Gajan Singh, Capt. Parshotam Singh, K.K Mengi, Pritam Sharma, Tej Ram Dogra, Amrit SagarRaj Kumar Meenia, Paras Maish and others also paid floral tributes to Dhanwantri on the occasion. Later drinks and sweets were distributed among children. |
