KATHUA, July 13: The residents of the Shiva Nagar ward number 16 of Kathua held a massive protest demonstration against the municipal council and the administration for suspending and delaying the construction works of the lanes and drains.
The residents Rahul Dev, Amit Sharma, Rohit, Amit, Ajay Sharma, S.K Bhatt, Vishal Salgotra, Monu Sharma, Nitin Sharma and Ravi Singh said that the whole Shiva Nagar except one or two streets are without proper roads and drain which are considered for construction are still incomplete and left in dilapidated condition. They alleged that contractor who was working at these sites were not using good material for the lanes and drains and none from the Muncipal Council and administration has inspected the quality and execution level of the works. The residents warned the administration if the pending construction works was not completed at the earliest, the people will go on strike and block the national highway. |
