Firing along IB | Crackers exploded in Pakistan, panic in India | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 13: In a bizarre incident, panic gripped Abdullian and adjoining villages along International Border at RS Pura after loud noises of firing all of a sudden started originating from across the border. The people on hearing the sound of explosives initially thought it as another attempt of Pakistani Rangers to resort to unprovoked firing on Indian posts but interestingly the noise turned out to be of crackers only. According to sources, BSF jawans posted along the International Border of RS Pura also got alerted and took their positions. People of the nearby villages shut their selves in their residences. Later, during communication from Pakistan side it was known that the crackers were being exploded in a nearby village of the border in Pakistan. The crackers were burst by the people in a marriage ceremony. Meanwhile, in another incident situation once again became tense along the International Border at Chack Phagwadi,Akhnoor when Pakistan rangers resorted to firing. The 32 battalion of Border Security Force Troops deployed along the border also retaliated. However, no casualty is reported in the ensuing firing that started at 12 pm. Pertinent to mention here that barely three days ago Pakistan had violated cease fire by resorting to indiscriminate firing in which two BSF jawans and a civilian lost their lives. Meanwhile, sensing ill intentions of the Pakistan, additional BSF troops have been deployed along the border.
