World Population Week celebrations | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT DODA, July 16: As a part of the World Population Week celebrations, Chief Medical Officer, Kishtwar organized a seminar at Government Higher Secondary School, Kishtwar today. Principal GGHSS, Rajinder Singh, staff and students were present on the occasion Fourteen girl students from different classes participated and deliberated their views on the subject. They impressed upon the adoption of small family norms, education of girl child and complete ban on the premature marriages. Parkhi Parihar, Sakshi Parihar and Vaishali Sharma, students of class 12th were adjudged 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. Prizes were distributed among the winners. Speaking on the occasion, the CMO thanked the Principal, teachers and students for participating in the programme and impressed upon them to play an active role in bringing about a positive change in the society . He said that students can spread the message and information about various social issues such as small family norms, education of girl child and conservation of environment.
