| Divisional level Boys Kabbadi Tournament starts | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, July 16: The Divisional Level inter district Boys Kabbadi tournament started in Nowshera today in which twenty teams from various districts of Jammu Division are participating.
The teams will be competing in the categories of below 14 years and below 17 years. About 20 teams are participating in the tournament.
The tournament has been organized by the department of Youth Services and Sports to promote the sport in the state and provide opportunity to the budding sportspersons
District Development Commissioner (DDC) Rajouri G A Khawaja who formally inaugurated the tournament lauded the efforts of the Department of Youth Services and Sports in organizing such events in the district and said that this will be a major step to promote the sport and the sportsmen.
He said that sports are imperative for overall growth and personality development of the youth and help them face the challenges in life.
DDC said that such events inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship and also provide a platform to the sports persons to share their experiences and skill .
He asked the department to organize more such events for the youth in the district so that they can compete at the national level
District Youth Service and Sports officer, Chief Education Officer and officers from various departments were also present on the occasion
