Call off dialogue process with Pak: Panun | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, JULY 16 : TO take stock of the situation post Indo-Pak talks in Islamabad, Panun Kashmir held an emergency meeting of its political affairs committee today at Jammu. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prof. M.L.Raina, Chairman, Political Affairs Committee. It was attended among others by S/Shri Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, President, Panun Kashmir, Prof. H.L.Jalali, Sr. Vice President, Shri Virender Raina, National spokesperson and J.L.Kaul, Vice President. In the meeting, Panun Kashmir members expressed concern over the statements emanating from Islamabad about the Indian concerns. The statements particularly of the Foreign Minister of Pakistan regarding Indian interests, Indian foreign minister, Indian position on issues relating to terrorism and the so-called Indo-Pak talks were simply outrageous. ``What has been said by the Pak Foreign Minister is devoid of the basics of International diplomacy and conduct of foreign affairs. The Indian foreign Minister's silence on many issues including the issue relating to the Indian Home Secretary's statement regarding 26/11 was shocking. The Pakistan has used these talks to bring itself at par with India,'' they added. The collapse of talks vindicates the stand of Panun Kashmir that India has nothing to gain from the State of Pakistan in the dialogue process. It was an futile exercise till Pakistan stopped its soil being used for terrorism against India and also keeps its hands off Kashmir. Meanwhile, they appealed the government of India to respect the sentiments and aspirations of the people of the nation and call off the dialogue process with Pakistan. They said there was no need for the government to engage with Pakistan at any level as it (Pakistan) is a failed and disintegrating state.
