SDP demands Omar's removal as CM | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 16: "We want freedom from Omar's failed regime. We want freedom from Abdullah dynasty's rule of exploitation to see peace in Kashmir", said Dr Darakhshan Andrabi, Socialistic Democratic Party (SDP) supremo while addressing a press conference at Press Club Jammu. Addressing the media persons, Andrabi said that from the days of 'Jahiliya' in Saudi Arabia, the uniform was granted as a gift to those people for restoration of peace. And as a Muslim I have this belief that the security forces wearing this godly uniform are the harbingers of peace and they need to be saluted. But unfortunately our CM leaves no stone unturned to defame these uniformed jawans, blaming them for his political failures. This attitude is quite unacceptable. Again when the valley is on boil for more than a month now, this 'puppet ruler' other than speaking about his actions, demands that centre should talk to Hurriyat leadership without delay to resolve the situation. If Delhi has to talk to Hurriyat for resolution of the issue, then why is Omar there wasting our time and resources? What is his standing then, asked SDP president. Referring to the very disturbing situation in the valley of Kashmir prevalent for the past one month, Dr Darakhshan said that these unfortunate series of worrying events are the outcome of Sheikh Abdullah's dualistic political approach who on one hand accepted the accession with Indian Union and on the other sowed seeds of secessionism in the name of 'Rai Shumari'. We are now reaping the crop of those seeds. Both ways he intended to grab power at the cost of the lives of common Kashmiris. That legacy of sinister politics continues. Omar inherits this all. Dr Darakhshan said that the present crisis in the valley of Kashmir has exposed both Omar Abdullah as well as New Delhi's non serious attitude towards Kashmir. Omar is a complete failure and he needs to be removed as soon as possible. We cannot see youngsters being killed on the streets anymore. The politics of Muftis and Abdullahs have put an end to our tourism, education, development and all types of economic activity. Possibly they want the law & order situation to remain disturbed so that in absence of public accountability they are in a position to eat up thousands of crores of rupees received for different developmental schemes and projects, alleged Andrabi
