JVM resents delay in appointment of VC CU | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 16: A meeting of Jammu Vikas Morcha (JVM) was held under the Chairmanship Morcha's state president Dheeraj Sharma in Jammu today to discuss and chalk out future strategy for accelerating the agitation launched for appointment of local Vice Chancellor for Jammu Central University (CU). Morcha's state president Dheeraj Sharma today lambasted the State as well as Central Governments for not appointing Vice Chancellor of Jammu Central University, whereas all other Central universities announced with same legislature have started to function. He alleged that it is a well-planned tactics to debar the students of Jammu province from getting the benefits of Central University. JVM appealed to the Jammuites not to be misled but rather should come forward to project and support this strategically important issue which would have broader and prospective implications on the generation to come. JVM leader warned the Government of India not to play with the sentiments of Jammuites and it should not be pawn in the hands of few self-serving forces having sinister design unmindful of the security or sovereignty of the Country and also the regional aspirations and interests of the people. Otherwise they will be forced to launch an agitation. |
