Children summer workshop concluded | | | Early Times report Jammu, July 16 : On the 2nd day of bal Utsav-2010 and concluded day of one month long children summer dance workshop organized by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages in collaboration with North zone Cultural Centre, Patiala, 80 children of various age group participated in the dance programme at Abhinav Theatre, here today. The Minister for Medical Education, Youth Service and Sports R.S. Chib was the Chief Guest on the occasion, speaking on the occasion, appreciated the performance of the children and said that children talent, and worth to compete at National and Interna-tional level congratulating cultural academy he said that through such workshops the youth of the region can be guided and shaped in the right direction and academy succeeded to do so. In this welcome address Zafar Iqbal Manhas, secretary academy said that these workshops does not mean to make the children as actor or dancer or painter into provide a platform to explore the creativity and boost their hidden talent, appreciating the theatre performance of the children he said a great zeal and enthusiasm were seen and expressed good wishes for to the participants children for their dance performance. He also congratulated parents who have shown lot of passion in order to admit their children in these summer workshops in view of the overall personality development of the children. In dance performance of 'Bal Utsav-2009' the children present Kashmiri Dance "Rouf" Kathak Recital' Dogri Folk Dance" Jagarnas, Dogri Dance "Prandha and Three Region Guldasta 'kathak' The performance of youngh children of the workshop were highly applauded by the packed audience in the Abhinav Theatre. Choreg-rapher Randhir Kumar, and Ms Menaka Rajput, appreciation for conducting this workshop with zeal and dedication.
