| Patwari Caught red handed | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, July 17 : According to State Vigilance Organization, the Organization has caught red handed Altaf Ahmad Bhat posted as Patwari Halqa Kandi Tehsil Kotranka while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 1500-/ from one Mohd Arif S/O Mohd. Din R/O Kandi Tehsil Kotranka Distrcit Rajouri for issuing revenue documents viz, copy of Jamabandi, Girdawari and Tatima Shajra for transfer of land. Mohd Arif lodged a written complaint with Police Station Vigilance Organization ,Jammu stating therein that the accused Altaf Ahmad Bhat, Patwari Halqa Kandi demanded Rs. 1500 /- as a gratification from the complainant for issuing the revenue documents regarding mentioned above for transfer of land in favour of the complainant and his brother divided by their father between them.
On the basis of said complaint a case under FIR NO. 20/2010 was registered in Police Station Vigilance Organization, Jammu and investigation taken up . In the course of investigation the officials of State Vigilance Organization laid a successful trap and accused Altaf Ahmad, Patwari Halqa Kandi was caught red handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 1500/- from the complainant in presence of independent witness. The tainted bribe money was recovered from his possession. The accused has been taken into custody for further investigation. |
