ABVP warns agitation against fare hike | | | early times report JAMMU, July 18: Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarathi Parishad (ABVP) strongly criticized the transporters who forced government authorities to increase the passenger fare. ABVP described transporters move as pressure tactic because whenever the fuel prices cut short, transporters never call back the hike in fare. Moreover, the hike in fare ordered last time was not in proportion to the increase in prices of fuel, so the fare raised already is enough to accommodate the fresh increase in fuel prices. On the other hand, education which is going jut of pocket of common man will greatly suffer if any fare increase is announced by government. ABVP will launch State wide agitation if any such action taken by the government to appease their own men who had raised empires of buses and trucks. ABVP also appealed to government to make arrangements for students as examination of various classes as polytechnic, post graduates in University are going on.
