| 1.5 quintal bhukki seized | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 18: Miran Sahib police arrested two narcotic smugglers and recovered 1.5 quintal bhuki from their possession. The vehicle which was being used for carrying the consignment was also seized by the police. Giving details, SP Headquarters JS Johar said that Miran Sahib police led by SHO Sunil Singh Jasrotia on specific information laid a trap in the area and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02S-6315. During checking of the vehicle, police seized 1.5 quintal bhuki from it The truck was coming from Valley. He further said that two narcotic smugglers identified as Amarjeet Singh son of Kaka Singh (driver of the vehicle) of Simbal Morh and Vishavnath Singh son of Wazir Chand (cleaner) arrested on spot while two other accused identified as Manjeet Singh alias Shanti and Sandeep Singh both sons of Pritpal Singh of Simbal managed to give police a slip from the spot. Police after lodging case under section 8/15 NDPS act against the arrested persons has been conducting raids to arrest the absconders, SP maintained.
