AIPSO takes out peace march | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 18: All India Peace and Solidarity Organisation (AIPSO) took out a peace march against the menace of fundamentalism or any sort of violence and terrorism. A large number of people belonging to all communities participated in the march. The sizeable strength of the participants were advocates, head of different social and secular political organizations, journalists, doctors and professors. Amongst those who spoke on the occasion included the President of Jammu and Kashmir chapter of All India Peace and Solidarity Organisation Ashwani Pardhan, President of Jammu Kashmir Gujjars United Front Anwar Choudhary, President of Jammu Muslim Cordination Committee Prof Zahoor-Ud-Din, Provincial President of Youth National Conference Surinder Singh Bunty. The speakers were unanimous in denouncing terrorism or any sort of violence dangerous for the society and nations. Ashwani Pardhan who was heading the peace march said that the Central and State Government Should ensure the enjoyment of fundamentals rights to all the citizens equally and particularly the deprived section of the society to check the people from going astray and adopting any agitation paths which snow ball in to aggressive movement and create problems for the administration. They said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir need to make a very rational decision in the surcharged and uncertain atmosphere in the neighboring countries, particularly Pakistan, Afghanistan and China. The peace march after passing through the different routes culminated at Shahidi Chowk. |
