Sham lays foundation stone of SDH Darhal | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 18: Minister for Health Sham Lal Sharma, today laid foundation of Sub District Darhal Hospital estimated to cost Rs 4.74 crore. The two storey building would have operation theatre, ECG, X-ray unit, OPD and recovery room facilities, besides BMO Office and doctors' room. With completion of the hospital a long pending demand of the people of the area would be fulfilled. After laying the foundation stone the Minister said that construction work has been allotted to JKPCC adding that Ra 4 crore has already been released fro the purpose. He directed the concerned agencies to complete the building within 18 months so that people will be able to avail the medical facilities at the earliest. Minister also inspected the Public Health Centre at Darhal where he sanctioned Rs 8 lakhs for upgradion of the existing ward at Public Health Centre. Responding to the local demands, the Minister assured that 3 doctors and 1 Gynecologist would be appointed at the PHC. He asked for maintaining cleanliness in the Health Centre. At Darhal, the people putforth various demands including installation of transformers, provision for the promotion of horticulture and floriculture in the area, better road connectivity. Earlier at Rajouri, the Minister inspected the pace of work on upcoming Vegetable Mandi and district hospital complex and asked the executing agencies to complete the same within the stipulated time frame. Minister of State for power Shabir Ahmed Khan, Director Health, Director Floriculture, DDC Rajouri G A Kawja, Additional DC, SSP Rajouri and ADC Rajouri were also present on the occasion. |
