Court rejects the bail of chain snatcher

Jammu, July 19: Forest Magistrate Jammu Yahaya Firdous today rejected the bail application of one Ved Parkash who was involved in chain snatching case. According to the police case that complainant lodged a written complaint with P/S Janipur stating that on the way occurrence when the complainant along with her husband were walking towards their residence, the movement of husband of the complainant was opening the gate, two persons on motorbike reached on spot and snatched the ear rings and the chain from the neck of the complainant. On this police, registered a case and arrested accused. Prosecuting Officer Kuldeep Bhat submitted that co-accused is still absconding and the recovery has not been effected. Court after hearing both the sides rejected the bail application with the observation since the investigation in the case is still going on as one of the accused yet to be arrested and the recovery has not been effected so far. With these observations, the Court rejected the bail application. --JNF
