Drive against use of poly bags intensified | | | early times report JAMMU, July 19: INTENSIFYING the drive against the use of polythene carry bags, the Enforcement field staff led by the Chief Enforcement Officer along with police force inspected the shops and other outlets in the areas of Indira Chowk, B.C. Road, Residency Road, Below Gumat, Canal Road and Bhagwati Nagar. During the inspection, the team seized about 8 kgs of poly bags from the shopkeepers, vendors and others outlets in these areas. An amount of Rs 1600 was charged as fine from defaulters on spot. Besides this, in another drive on receiving a complaint from the residents of the Gandhi Nagar locality regarding installation of tower for mobile telecom services, the Enforcement staff acted swiftly and got the said tower removed from roof top at 6-A private Gandhi Nagar.
