| JKPF asks people to maintain peace | | |

JAMMU, July 19: Jammu and Kashmir People Front (JKPF) chief patron Satish Poonchi has said that the Omar Abdullah led coalition government is doing a marvelous job in terms of development of the state. Addressing media persons here today, Poonchi said that the Omar's good work has become an eye sore for some elements, who are hell bent upon creating disturbances and peace in the valley. Satish appealed to the people to support the state government and play role to establish peace in the valley.
He said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir suffer from such disturbance especially the business community as trade has totally paralyzed due to strikes in the valley. Poonchi lauded the decision of the government to increase passenger fare.
He said it was necessary as transporters were burdened with the hike in prices of petroleum products. Satish hoped that the Omar Government would be able to control the situation in the valley.
