| Eight fall ill due to food poisoning | | |

JAMMU,July 19: Eight employees of Kashmir Iron Factory fell unconscious after consuming ladoo in the premises of the factory and were admitted in GMC hospital and SMGS hospital where their condition is stated to be critical.
SHO Gangyal Ajay Jamwal when contacted said that as per reports an employee Wasim distributed ladoos among his brethren to express his exuberance on getting job in somewhere else and on consuming sweets all the eight employees fell un- conscious.
Among victims two are ladies -Pooja and Malti who were discharged later. He further said that two other children who are admitted in SMGS hospital are recovering.
"The statements of the Wasim is yet to be recorded as he is still unconscious in GMC hospital.
However, police has seized box of ladoos which has been sent to FSL", SHO added. Victims have been identified as Fagu Ram,Mohinder Singh, Minshi Ram and Umesh.All residents of Merrut.
