EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, July 19: Chairman Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party Prof Bhim Singh, asked the leadership to stop accusing the so-called stone-throwing boys in Kashmir and find out as why they are angry and agitated today?
Addressing media persons here today, Panthers Party Chief reminded the great nationalist leaders that they were the fathers and grandfathers of these stone-throwing boys who fought against the Pakistani raiders and supported Indian Army in 1947 against Pakistan.
The leadership in the South and the North Blocks find out why their children are throwing stones on the so-called leaders? As long as this question is not answered there shall be no peace and the people of J&K shall not remain silent spectators of the oppression and suppression by corrupt and authoritarian rulers who came to power by rigging.
Prof Bhim Singh gave a call to all like-minded people of J&K, particularly the agitated and angry youth seeking justice from the power that be to join the Panthers Party at Lal Chowk on July 28.
The Supremo Panthers Party shall invite people of all political thought to join at a common platform for justice and equity which he declared is the only way to start a political process from the public platform as even the Army Chief had proposed.
Prof Bhim Singh said that political issues can only be settled from political plat form and not through the bullets, stones, detentions, jails and curfews.
He proposed to the Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan to appoint two committees from both parts of J&K headed by Former Sadar-e-Riyasat of J&K, Dr Karan Singh and POK Committee headed by Sardar Mohammad Abdul Qayyum Khan, Former Prime Minister and President of POK.
He proposed that both these leaders should assist the two prime ministers to reach the final settlement of the resolution of J&K as was proposed by the then Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan Indira Gandhi and Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto in Simla Agreement in 1972.
Prof Bhim Singh said that Simla Agreement rightly felt that the two heads of India and Pakistan should meet frequently to seek resolution of J&K situation.
He said that meeting of the Foreign Ministers of India and Pakistan in Islamabad resulted into fiasco for reason that neither they had authority nor an iota of knowledge about J&K. Prof. Bhim Singh said that neither Dr Karan Singh nor Sardar Abdul Qayyum Khan has any political interest.
