| BJP Kissan Morcha holds meet | | |

JAMMU, July 19: BJP Kissan Morcha president Karan Singh Chib, along with Morcha Vice-president Rashpal Verma, general secretary Capt. (Retd.) Kasturi Lal Sharma and treasurer Jagdish Raj Pandey visited Reasi and Udhampur districts and held meetings of the morcha units there.
At Reasi, the mrocha chief was received by local BJP MLA Baldev Raj Sharma, Distt. President Kabla Singh and other prominent leaders of the area. At Udhampur, the visiting team was received by Distt. President Dina Nath Bhagat, Youth President Krishan Lal Sharma and others.
During the meeting, various points for betterment of the farmers were discussed. The Kissan Morcha president stressed the need on formation of committees upto mandal level so that the problems/grievances of farmers are attended to in a better way. He also assured support to these committees for welfare and progress of farmers. During the discussions, a number of issues related to the farmers were raised. The morcha leaders and activists, who attended these meetings, demanded that seeds and fertilizer depots / counters should be opened in villages/ rural areas so that the farmers are not made to face problems. According to them, at same places quality of the seeds being provided to the farmers is of sub standard. |
