| Arora biradri organizes function | | |

JAMMU July 19 : On the occasion of auspicious day of "Annual Congregation/Mail" of Arorbans, thousands of birdari members from different parts of the state participated in the day long functions held at Radha Krishan Mandir, Panjtirthi, Arorbans Sabha Complex, Kachi Chawni and Dev Sthan at village Karloop.
The day started with the pooja of Guga Devta at Radha Krishan Mandir followed by havan, which witnessed presence of a number of prominent figures of the birdari, besides representatives of other social organizations and birdaris in the state.
Mahant Rameshwar Dass and Swami Dinesh Bharti addressed the congregation and blessed the biradari members for healthy and prosperous future. These saints also appreciated various social welfare programmes being undertaken for the benefit of the needy and the poor.
Later, in the afternoon bhandara was organized in the premises of Arorbans Hall. It was a rare occasion when birdari members of 810 sub castes assembled under one roof to express unity in diversity.
Led by birdari president Ramesh Arora (Adv.), hundreds of members, alongwith their families, also reached village Karloop to perform Parikrama/Pooja of centuries old Devsthan there.
Expressing gratitude to the birdari members for sparing valuable time to take part in the annual congregation, Birdari President Ramesh Arora said that in these days of busy life, one gets very rare chance to meet even the own people and today's programme provided such opportunity to them. He expressed hope that the Sabha will get the regular support and cooperation from the birdari members living in different parts of the state. He further declared that this year, on 25th July, Congregation /mail will also be organized at Pathankot and members from Jammu will participate in it.
Prominent among those who participated included Prem Prakash Arya, the President of North Zone Arora Birdari, Lal Chand Khurana, the General Secretary and Dr. Prem Prakash Vice-president.
A meeting was attended by Chief Engineer (Retd.) K.K. Arora, Bharat Gandhi (EX-MLA Ramban), Surinder Singh (Retd. SSP) , D.V Batra, Raj Dluja, Vijay Grover (Adv.), Satish Kawatra, Avtar Krishan Arora, Suraj Arora, Satish Arora, Col. Juneja, and many others. |
