| Office of Gurjar Mahasabha opened | | |

Surankote, July 19 : To show solidarity with the Gurjar Mahasabha, the people of Tehsil Surankote opened an office at Surankote so that they are able to discuss the programmes and policies of the Mahasabha.
Meanwhile, the people of the area has supported the policies and programmes Eshfaq-ur-Rehman Poswal, President, Akhil Bhartiya Gurjar Mahasabha J&K State, who recently toured Poonch area . A meeting of the Gurjar MahaSabha was also held today today under the chairmanship of Retd. Z.E.O. Ch. Shabir Ahmed . Later, a resolution was also passed regarding centrally sponsored scheme for the development of tribals (Gurjar and Bakerwal). Many youth along with ex-panchs , Sarpanchs and numberdar joined the Gurjar MahaSabha in today's meeting. The Tehsil President Ch. Sajaad Ahmed Khatana , Vice President Farooq Ahmed Sangoo and General Secretary Tahir Mehmood Kassana which were nominated by the president were approved by the members in today's meeting at Tehsil headquarter. Later, it was decided next meeting will be held on August 2. Other prominent persons who attended the meeting included Ch. Tahir Ahmed Fazal, Mumtaz Ahmed Khatana , Ishtiyaq Ahmed Khatana, Qari Usman Gani , Ch. Abdul Majid Bajad, Mohd. Iqbal, Ch. Saleem Ahmed, Mohd. Aslam Poswal, Mohd. Jamil, Haji Mohd. Sharif, Haji Ali Akbar etc. |
