Kashmira Vahini unfolds future programmes

Jammu, July 20: In a meeting held today in Jammu, Kashmira Vahini President Prof. Rama Shah and Patron Smt. Kirti Kalla gave a detailed account of their recent visit to different places of the country including Bangalore, Chandigarh, Hyderabad and Gujarat. The meeting took stock of current situation in the State. Prof Rama Shah apprised the members of the progress of projects undertaken by the organization like old age home in Jammu and cultural centre. Kashmira Vahini felt satisfied over the signature campaign in progress in Jammu and other parts of the country with regard to appeal to be submitted to Hon'ble Prime Minister of India for posting of newly recruited Kashmiri Pandit girls and boys in state service in migrant cells and other institutions in Jammu in view of the prevailing security situation in the Valley. On the organizational front, Kashmira Vahini has established organizational units in major cities of the country. Kashmira Vahini has decided to hold a series of Workshops involving Kashmiri Pandit women of all shades in different parts of the country to be followed by an "All India Women's conference" in Jammu. It was decided in the meeting that all cultural festivals in the coming months will be celebrated with fervor and series of cultural and religious programmes, seminars and group discussion will be held across the globe. Kashmira Vahini welcomes Kashmiri Pandit women folk in Diaspora in USA and European countries for active participation in Kashmira Vhini Programmes in future.
In this context the efforts of Chanderamukhi Ganjoo (advocate) of Florida were highly appreciated. A detailed presentation of the activities and future programmes of Kashmira Vahini was presented by Sunita Sntoshi, General Secretary of Kashmira Vahini. The members of the organization who attended the meeting were Dr. Khema Kaul (official spokesman), Neelam, Nirmala Tickoo, Gayatri, Vijaya Khoda, Sudesha Kaul and other.
