| 72 pouches of illicit liquor seized, two held | | | early times report
Jammu, July 20: Two bootleggers with seventy two pouches of illicit liquor were arrested by police during naka checking in different areas of Makwal and Katra.
Phalayan Mandal police led by ICPP Mohd Arif during naka checking in village Makwal arrested a bootlegger and recovered 65 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession. He has been identified as Tersam Lal alias Gathi son of Indru Ram resident of Makwal.
In the meanwhile, Katra Police during naka checking at Matyal area recovered seven pouches of illicit liquor containing 250 ml from the possession of one Gulzar Ahmed son of Satar Mohd resident of Kousar Choka, Udhampur. Both the accused booked under Excise act.
