`PM's package for KPs a conspiracy' | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 19:After nearly two years, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has finally risen to his commitment of development and execution of tasks promised by his party in their manifesto. Talking tough action against over the negligent approach of bureaucrats and officials for the first time, Omar has warned administrators to execute assignments allotted to them in various Board Meetings and District Development Meetings in time or face the consequences. However, the announcements made by Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh several years ago, including allotment of residential quarters to migrants and 6,000 jobs to Kashmiri Pandit educated unemployed youths, especially who are the victim of militant insurgency and are living life of in-humans due to over age factor . It is necessary to mention here that four years back in two public meetings held at Akhnoor and Katra, Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh announced that all Pandit migrants would be given two room flats and a package of employment for 6000 unemployed educated youths having attained over age, will be accommodated but till dateneither two room flats nor jobs have been provided to uprooted Pandits. The aggrieved community has termed the PMs package for KPs as conspiracy. As per the selections made by Services Selection Recruitment Board (SSRB) the employment process was carried as if it was an open category affair, then how come PM calls it a package to KP youth? It is high time when community as a whole and the youth in particular should rise and reject the nefarious designs of state and centre government for keeping the indigenous owners of Kashmir land away for their political interests.
