Ministers visit Baramulla, express grief over deaths | | | early times report SRINAGAR, July 20: Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Mr. Taj Mohi ud Din alongwith Minister for Rural Development, Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Mr. Ali Mohammad Sagar and Minister for Agriculture, Mr. Ghulam Hassan Mir today visited Baramulla to take stock of the law and order situation in the town. The Ministers held an extensive interaction with the Civil and Police Administration during which the District Administration apprised them about the present situation. Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla, Mr. Bashir Ahmad Bhat, DIG, NKR, Mr. Munir Ahmad Khan, SSP, Baramulla, Mr. Munsoor Ahmad Untoo and other senior officers were present in the meeting. Expressing grief over the death of two persons in the town during the last two days, the Ministers directed the District administration to ensure that human lives are not lost during any confrontation with the protestors. They asked the concerned officers to ensure that common people are provided maximum relief during curfew timings. The Ministers appealed people to maintain calm and help District Administration in restoring peace in the town and the District. The Ministers later interacted with members of civil society who projected some demands to the District Administration.
