| DDC reviews I-Day arrangements at Poonch | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
POONCH, July 20: Independence Day celebration arrangements were discussed in District Officers meeting convened and presided over by District Development Comm issioner, Poonch Kuldip Lal Khajuria, here today.
It was decided that I- Day celebrations would start by playing of Shahnai Vaadan from 6 to 7 AM morning at Media Complex Poonch on the day.
Contingents of J&K Police, J&K Armed Police, CRPF, Auxiliary Police, NCC Cadets and School children would take part in March Past soon after hoisting of National Flag at 9:55 AM.
Committee of officers were constituted to ensure foolproof security arrangements, in and around the venue of the function, provision of Medicare equipped with doctors, Para-medical staff and ambulance, seating arrangements, parking of vehicles, water supply tanker would be pressed into services, proper barricades, smooth plying of transport, sanitation of venue, presentation of cultural programmes comprising patriotic songs, local culture of Pahari, Gojari, Dogri, Kashmiri and Punjabi.

Similar arrangements to unfurl tri-color at all the four Tehsil Headquarters of the District were also discussed where respective Tehsildars would separately convene a meeting of Tehsil Officers and ensure necessary arrangements.
Among others Additional Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Matloob Khan, Senior District Officers of all development sectors, representatives of District Police, Army, Para Security Forces, Fire & Emergency Services and Auxiliary Police attended the meeting.
