Mankotia takes up pilgrims' problems with HP CM | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 20: Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) president and MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia has expressed gratitude to Himachal Pradesh (HP) Chief Minister Prof Prem Kumar Dhumal on assurance of proper facilities for the pilgrims of Mani Mahesh Yatra from Jammu province. Addressing media persons here today, Mankotia informed that during his five-day tour of Himachal, he studied many developmental projects and its proper implementation by HP government and learnt so many things out of it He said that during this tour he also met with HP Chief Minister and apprised him about the problems being faced by around thirty thousand people of Jammu province, who every year perform Mani Mahesh Yatra. He said people from Ramban, Kishtwar, Doda, Reasi and Udhampur districts of Jammu province visit the holy shrine but they are not getting adequate facilities in Chamba and Bharmour areas of HP state. Mankotia however thanked Dhumal for giving on the spot direction to the district administration of Chamba for providing proper facilities of these yatris. He further said that same kind of yatra take place in district Doda which is popularly known as Chota Mani Mahesh yatra in which more than ten thousand people take part every year but they are also not getting proper facilities including medicine, water, accommodation etc. He urged the state government to provide proper facilities to pilgrims and pay due attention to this yatra which is going to start in the month of September.
