| Auto driver consumes poison, dies | | | JAMMU: An autoricksha driver allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison at his residence under mysterious circumstances here Monday. Identified as Bhushan Lal (40), son of Dewan Chand, he hailed from Khod, Miran Sahib.
Police said he allegedly swallowed poison at his residence at about 2.30 pm yesterday. Following deterioration in his condition, he was evacuated by his family members to the GMC Hospital where he died this morning. After post-mortem, the body was handed over to his family members for last rites. Police had registered a case in this connection. The cause behind the provocation was yet to be ascertained.
