| PHE employees stage protest demonstration | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 24: Irked over the not fulfillment of their long pending demands, hundred of the PHE employees under the aegis of PHE Employees United Front, Jammu Province held a massive demonstration in all PHE divisions of the province today. The protests were held in Jammu, Kistwar, Doda, Reasi, Udhampur, Ramban, Kathua, Samba and Akhnoor. Addressing the protesters at different occasion, PHE activists said that the PHE Minister have failed in implementing the assurance given by them. They alleged that the minister was non serious about the demands of the employees by adopting delaying tactics. They also stated that our employees have shown lot of patience till date. The protesters demanded withdrawal of order number 227/PW dated June 8, 2010. The protesters warned the PHE authorities that if their demands are agreed are not agreed within two week, the employees would adopt massive agitation. Prominent among who were present in the protest in Jammu included Bakshi Singh, Som Nath, Swaran Singh, Subash Verma, Vijay Luthra, Omkar Sharma, Raman Kumar, and Kartar Chand Dubey besides others.
