| SSA organises guest lecture on religious education | | |

JAMMU, July 24: The zonal resource group, S.S.A zone Satwari organized a guest lecture on "Religious Education in present scenario of Education" at Inservice teacher training programme at Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. Schoo, Satwari. Sardar Rajinder Singh delivered the lecture to trainee teachers and highlighted the common values of different religions and said that all the religions throw light on supremacy of god, communal harmony, brotherhood, peace and prosperity. He stressed upon the teachers that they should impart religious values in children by lectures, Rhyms, dramas, and one act plays. He clarified that the Education of religion is the duty of home and parents, but the religious education is the duty of school so that the qualities like moral values, respect for other religions, character development in the children are developed in the early stages and the qualities that are inculcated in the childhood last till death.
