Various organisations express shock over Kishtwar accident | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 24:The loss of lives in yesterday's mini bus accident has widely mourned by various political and non political organisations. Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee has expressed condolence on the death of 32 passengers in a tragic road accident at Kansan Kishtwar. President PCC Prof. Saifud-Din Soz, MP (former Union Minister) and other senior leaders of the party have expressed deep shock and grief over the loss of precious lives in a road accident near Kandani at Kishtwar. The leaders have conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and demanded adequate relief to the victims.Prominent among those who condoled the death included Mangat Ram Sharma, Dharam Pal Sharma, Amrit Malhotra-MLC, Th. Hari Singh, Yash Pal Khajuria, S. Gurmukh Singh, Mula Ram, Haider Sheikh, Ravinder Sharma-MLC, S. Amolak Singh, Kanta Bhan, Indu Pawar-MLA, Mehrajuddin Zargar, Bharat Gandhi, Shiv Kumar Sharma-President INTUC, Pardeep Parihar, Pyarey Lal Shan & others. Bharat Gandhi Ex-MLA and President District Congress Committee Ramban has also expressed deep shock and grief over the loss of precious lives in tragic road accident near Kandni Kishtwar. MLA, Mohammad Sharief Niaz in a statement has expressed deep shock and grief over the tragic accident which occurred on Thathri Kishtwar road near Wararha bridge and the bus rolled down directly into river Chenab resulting loss of lives and injuries to two others. Niaz conveyed his heartfelt condolence to the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and early recovery to the injured. He demanded that all the out dated and old vehicles which are not road worthy be stopped for plying on hilly roads as well the licence of the drivers be checked properly and overloading of the passenger vehicles to avoid such happenings in future. State Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Randhir Singh has expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of 25 precious lives in a tragic road accident near Hasti on Kishtwar-Thathri road. Singh and senior party leaders of NCP sympathized with the bereaved families and demanded Rs 10 lakh compensation to be paid to the dead and Rs 5 Lakhs and specialized treatment to the injured. Meanwhile, People's Union for Civil Liberties J&K State has also expressed grave shock over bus mishap in Kishtwar yesterday. In a press statement issued here today, its convener Balraj Puri said that accidents have become a regular feature on Batote-Kishtwar road, which has turned into a grave yard for passengers travelling on this road. He expressed serious concern over insensitivity of the government over such a human problem and hoped that its conscience would now be disturbed. Jammu & Kashmir Janata Dal (United), President S.Inder Mohinder Tar Singh also sympathized with the bereaved families of the victims of the ill- fated mini bus which plunged into Chenab in Kishtwar area and expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in this tragedy.
