BSF School celebratres "Vanmahotsava" | | |
EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 24:BSF Senior Secondary School Paloura celebrated "Vanmohotsava" with great pomp and show. J P Sayal DIG/PSO Jammu Frontier was the chief guest of the day. He was received by the principal, staff and the students. The students were falling on the both sides of path leading to the site of tree Plantation with placards having meaning full slogans depicting "To save the planet earth". The chief guest JP Sayal was led by a few students having saplings in a palanguin to the site of tree plantation. The saplings were planted in the presence of recitation of mantras and the five 'Tatav' ie Jal, Vayu, Agni, Aakash and Bhumi the essential for the existence of any living being. To mark the importance of day certain talks and poems were delivered by the students in addition to the colourful Cultural programme presented by them. The total programme was dedicated to the cause of saving the "planet earth". Speaking on the occasion, JP Syal lauded the efforts of the students presenting a beautiful cultural programme and preparing the slogans which befit the occasion. He advised the students to plant more and more trees to make the earth green. The principal SS Khokhar in his address highlighted the importance of the day and laid emphasis on the celebration of Vanmahotsava which proved inspirational for the students.
