JD Institute takes viewers to retro era in `Once Upon a time in Mumbaai' | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 27: Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, the new film from the Balaji banner has partnered with the JD Institute of Fashion Technology, to take viewers back to the retro era of the 1970s. The attempt is the give people a first- hand experience of the bold fashions of the era gone by. Inspired by the film, JD students from all centres have designed a range of retro wear. Aptly titled - 'Flashback', the wardrobe consisting of 60's and 70's style attire and accessories is in line with the theme of the film. Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai plans an innovative marketing approach with JD Institute to give viewers a first hand experience of the fashion of 1970s. The activity gives moviegoers a chance to get a feel of the era gone by, dress like favorite stars and preserve this memory in the form of a photograph. JD students assist patrons in selecting the outfits and accessories from those displayed, and sport it, in complete retro style. The film's dialogues and songs add on to the entire experience. JD Institute, Jammu students got an opportunity to interact with Prachi Desai . To kick start the event, Desai inaugurated the "Retro Line" at the JD annual design awards held at F- lounge while the lead actor Emraan Hasmi met the students. Models were seen taking ramp wearing the retro garmets designed by the students
