BJP hits out at parties for not observing Vijay Diwas | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 27: Challenging the secular and nationalist credentials of the ruling NC-Congress coalition in the State, the BJP has questioned that while they observed the most controversial day of July 13 as martyrs days, they should explain that why they did not observe July 26 as "Vijay Divas" and paid tributes to gallant soldiers who laid their lives in Kargil war in 1999 to defend the integrity of the country. In a statement issued here today, BJP State general secretary Sat Sharma (C.A) regretted that these two parties observed July 13 as martyrs day along with the separatists and anti-national elements, they did not come out to pay tributes to the martyrs of Kargil war. Sharma said that these two parties in a bid to appease the separatists and demoralise the security forces are manipulating to get amended Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) and thus facilitate the terrorists and anti-national forces to play their game in distancing Jammu and Kashmir from rest of the country. Sharma said that the leaders of NC and Congress should keep in mind that they are born in India and have some responsibility towards their motherland.
