Dansal residents demand regular power supply | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 27: The activists of Sangram Sena Dogra Liberation Front and of some social and political workers in a joint meeting chaired by Ram Rattan Raina, Ram Pal Sharma and Amar Gupta have expressed great resentment over the curtailment of power within Dansal block, which had proved fatal to the inhabitants during the present monsoons, as since in the month snakes and dreaded lizards come out of the earth and poses threat to lives of the inhabitants, for which electricity during evening and night hours is badly needed. Addressing the meeting Raina said, that about 200 old aged persons in the area are suffering from heart ailment, some of them have undergone heart surgery, besides the snakes and dreaded lizard come out of the earth which poses threat to human lives. He added that during evening hours whenever any human being old or young comes out becomes victim of snake bite or lizards which has taken several lives of the inhabitants. He further said that this fact has been apprised to the PDD authorities a number of times during past about 35 times but have not taken serious note of it till date due to reason deaths continues due to snake bites in the area. While concluding he urged upon the minister for power, and commissioner, PDD, J&K to look into the matter seriously and present curtailment of power be stopped, and power be restored during especially night hours, so that ailing people old aged get a sigh of relief, besides inhabitants are saved from snake bites. He expressed his hope for speedy action and orders in the interest of public. Amongst others who spoke includes Vishal Singh, Bindu Sar Abrol and Virinder Chib.
