PDP Foundation Day Meeting at Doda | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Doda, July 28: In connection with the foundation day celebration of J&K Peoples Democratic Party, a meeting of senior party worker was held at Party Office, Doda. Speaking on the occasion senior party leader Advocate Imtiaz Mir expressed deep concern over the continued use of brute force against the agitators in Kashmir Valley. He said PDP has been demanding the revocation of AFSPA, demilitarization the civilian areas, and release of political detinues in a bid to create congenial atmosphere for a meaningful dialogue. Describing Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah as utter failure, he said that the present government has further complicated an already complex Kashmir problem. It neither commands respect nor confidence of the people. Therefore, it must go and go as early as possible, he observed. Mr. Attaullah Khan expressed similar views and showed solidarity with those who lost their youth in the on-going agitation and turmoil. Presided by Attaullah Khan, the meeting was attended by many party activists from across the district. Prominent among them were Ghulam Rasool Beg, Abdul Majid Mir, Gh. Mustafa, Azad Hussain Parray, Bhagat Om Parkash, Gh. Mustafa Lone and others.
