EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 28: In yet another alleged bias against the downtrodden sections of the society, higher officials of the state government have not appointed some candidates who were selected for Physical Education Teacher (PET) for district Kulgam in Kashmir division of the state. The selection list was advertised last month and these aggrieved candidates belonged to Jammu region and were selected under SC category. These candidates alleged that all other who were selected in the same list were given appointment letters and they were ignored . ``Concerned authorities were deliberately delaying our appointments on caste basis, it is just caste based abuse and nothing else,’’ alleged aggrieved PETs. They further said “It is our constitutional right and we are selected through a proper process and competition”. They also said that a higher official of SSRB, who himself belong to a down trodden section of the society abused them and said that “Why there were after the jobs of Kashmiri people”. Director Department of Youth and Sports S Laharwal and Chairman SSRB B D Bhagat could not be contacted for their comments even after repeated attempts.
